Ragnarök Battle Fest

En el día 24 de septiembre de 2010, se llevó a cabo en Led Slay (São Paulo/BR) el primer “Ragnarök Battle Fest”. El festival contò con cuatro bandas, de temas propios y covers, que fueron: Intrisicum (Gothic Metal de Santos/SP), Hugin Munin (Death/Viking Metal de Santos/SP), Dimmu Borgir (Banda Indoctrination de São Paulo/SP) y Amon Amarth (Banda Thunder God, de São Paulo/SP).La casa abrió sus puertas a las 22h y vikingos y valkirias comenzaron a llegar. Si bien el show no se inició a esa hora, pudimos disfrutar de temas de Judas Priest, Metallica, etc.

A las 00:30 las luces se apagaron y la primera banda subió al escenario. Intrisicum abrió este gran espectáculo, con “Into a Rough Sunset”, seguido de “Last Song”, e incluso un cover de Type O Negative: “Black Nº 1”. A la 1:30 la banda cerró su set list con “Until My Death. Se abrió una gran rueda en el carril central, llegó hora de la batalla vikinga, del grupo Hednir- Viking Reenactment Project que con sus espadas y escudos llevaron a cabo una lucha digna, que mereció la atención de todos a su alrededor, gritando “Hail, Hail, Hail,” a “Odeeeeeen!”

Desde el final de la pelea, respectivamente, con su vencedor, el espectáculo continuó, y esta vez fue el turno de la banda Indoctrination (tributo a Dimmu Borgir) subió al escenario.A la 1:50 estos muchachos abrieron su setlist y pasaron por canciones como “The Serpentine”, “Mourning Palace”, e inclusive dos temas propios: “Apocalypse Revelations” e “Oblivion Shall Be Your Grave” e hicieran un espectáculo muy bueno, lo que llevó a todo el público a bangear. ¡Y mucho!

2:50 llegó el turno de la banda de Santos/SP, conocida en todo el mundo, Hugin Munin. Dieron un show digno de aplausos y causó en la multitud muchos rugidos, mucha bangeacion y mosh. El público acompañó cantando, se hizo sentir la emoción de todos en cada riff, cada canción. En el tema “Ashes of My Enemy”, el grupo Hednir subió al escenario para presentar otra de sus batallas que más una vez capturó la atención del público, que no dejaba de gritar “Odin”, “Odin”, “Odin”.

La batalla terminó, el set list continuó, y para cerrar la presentación, en la canción “Capture of Fenris”, el vocalista Surt sugirió que el público hiciera una batalla entre ellos: ¡Ahora es su turno de luchar! La multitud aceptaron la propuesta y en la música todos hicieron un gran mosh, y lucharon. La banda agradecio y saliò de escena, por ahora sería el turno de la última banda de la noche, haciendo su tributo a Amon Amarth.

A las 3:50 la banda Thunder God subió al escenario y los chicos comenzaron el set con una canción del último álbum de la banda, “Twilight of the Thunder God” y la gente no parecía nada cansada, agitando de principio a fin del show. El set pasó por los temas “Death in Fire”, “Cry of the Black Birds”, “Asator”, y para cerrar el show, claro, lo himno: “Pursuit of Vikings”

Así se da el fin a la “Batalla de Ragnarök”. Una fiesta inolvidable, de la que esperamos muchas otras ediciones…

No dia 24 de Setembro de 2010, aconteceu na Led Slay (São Paulo/BR) o primeiro “Ragnarök Battle Fest”. O festival contou com quatro bandas, dentre elas de som próprio e covers, que foram: Intrisicum (Gothic Metal de Santos/SP), Hugin Munin (Death/Viking Metal de Santos/SP), Dimmu Borgir (Banda Indoctrination de São Paulo/SP) e Amon Amarth (Banda Thunder God, de São Paulo/SP).
A casa teve os portões abertos por volta das 22h00min e vikings e valquírias começaram a chegar. Enquanto o show não começava, ficou rolando uma discotecagem, com musicas de Judas Priest, Metallica e etc.

00h30min as luzes se apagam e a primeira banda sobe ao palco. Intrisicum abriu esse grande espetáculo com “Into a Rough Sunset”, seguido de “Last Song”, e rolou até um cover de Type O Negative, a música “Black Nº 1”. Á 01h30min a banda fecha seu set list com “Until My Death”.
Abre-se uma grande roda no centro da pista, é chegada a hora da batalha viking, do grupo Hednir- Viking Reenactment Project, que com suas espadas e escudos encenaram uma luta digna, prendendo a atenção de todos ao redor, que gritavam “Hail, Hail, Hail” ou “Odeeeeen”.

Dado o fim da luta, respectivamente com o seu vencedor, o show prosseguiu, e agora era a vez da banda Indoctrination (cover de Dimmu Borgir) subir ao palco. À 01h50min os caras abriram seu set list e passaram por músicas como “The Serpentine”, “Mourning Palace”, e incluíram duas músicas próprias: “Apocalypse Revelations” e “Oblivion Shall Be Your Grave”, fizeram um show muito bom, levando todo o público a bangear, e muito!

02h50min era à hora da banda de Santos/SP, mundialmente conhecida, Hugin Munin. Os meninos fizeram um show digno de muitos aplausos e levou a galera a muitos urros, a muita bangeação e mosh. O publico cantava junto, sentia-se a emoção de todos, a cada riff, a cada música. Na música “Ashes of My Enemy” o grupo Hednir sobe ao palco para apresentar mais uma de suas batalhas que mais uma vez prendeu a atenção do público que não parava de gritar “Odin”, “Odin”, “Odin”.
A batalha acabou e o set list prosseguiu, e para fechar o show, na musica “Capture of Fenris”, o vocalista Surt sugeriu que a galera fizesse uma batalha entre si, que agora seria a vez deles lutarem! A galera acatou a sugestão e durante a música todos fizeram um grande mosh e ficaram lutando e bangeando. A banda agradece e sai de cena, pois agora seria a vez da ultima banda da noite, Amon Amarth.

03h50min a banda Thunder God sobe ao palco e os meninos já iniciam o set com uma musica do ultimo álbum da banda “Twilight of the Thunder God”, e a galera não se mostrou nada cansada, agitando do inicio ao fim do show. O set passou pelas músicas “Death in Fire”, “Cry of the Black Birds”, “Asator”, e para fechar o show, é claro, o hino: “Pursuit of Vikings”.

Então é dado fim à “Batalha de Ragnarök” (hehehe é até engraçado falar desse jeito).
Um festival memorável, que esperamos por várias outras edições...

On september 24, it took place in Led Slay (Sao Paulo/BR) the first “Ragnarok Battle Fest”. The fest had four bands, both with own songs and covers: Intrinsicum (Gothic Metal from Santos/SP), Hugin Munin (Death/VIking Metal, from Santos/SP), Covers of Dimmu Borgir (Indoctrination from Sao Paulo/SP) and Amon Amarth (Thunder God, also from Sao Paulo/SP). The doors were open at 22:00, then vikings and Walkyries arrived. Although the show did not start at this time, we enjoyed some music from Judas Priest, Metallica, etc.

At 00:30. lights went out, and the first band went on stage. Intrinsicum opened this great show with “Into a Rough Sunset” followed by “Last Song” and even a cover of Type O Negative: “Black Number 1”. At 1:30, the band closed their set list with “Until my death” A great wheel opened in the central court, then the time for the Viking battle of Hednir – Viking Reeactment Project, with their swords and shields carried on with a worthy battle, drawing the attention of everyone around, shouting “Hail, Hail, Hail to Oden”

From the end of the fight, with its victor, the show continued and this time was the turn of Indoctrination, with their tribute to DIMMU BORGIR. At 1:50 opened their setlist and went through songs like “The serpentine”, “Mourning Palace” and even two songs of their own: “Apocalypse Revelations” and “Oblivion shall be Your Grave” They did a great show, that took everyone to headbang, and a lot!

At 2:50 there came the time of the band from Sao Paulo, know in the whole world: Hugin Munin. The gave a show worthy of ovation and caused in the crowd a lot of roaring, mosh and headbanging. The audience followed the singing, with excitement in every riff. In “Ashes of My Enemy”, Hednir group climbed on stage again to enact one of their battles, once again grabbing the attention of the crowd that sung: Odin! Odin! Odin!. The battle ended, the set list continued and to close the show, in the song “Capture of Fenris”, singer Sturt suggested that the audience fought a battle amongst them. “Now is your time to fight!” Crowd accepted the suggestion and everyone made a great mosh and they fought. The band gratefully lef the stage, and then came the turn of the last band of the night, with their tribute to Amon Amarth.

At 3:50 the band Thunder God climbed on stage and the boys started their ser with a song from the last album of the band “Twilight of the thunder god” and the crowd didn`t seem exhausted at all, rocking from the beggining to the end of the show. The set went through songs “Death in Fire”, “Cry of the Black Birds”, “Asator” and to close the show the anthem “Pursuit of the Vikings”.

Thus comes to an end “Battle of Ragnarok” an unforgettable party, from which we expect many more editions.
